A Step-by-Step Guide to Setting up Your Coin Cloud Wallet

Whether you want to use one of our digital currency machines or just need a place to store your new crypto, the Coin Cloud Wallet is ready to protect your digital currency. Not only that, but it’s extremely simple to set up and use. Let us show you how!

Step 1: Download

The first step is opening your app store, searching “Coin Cloud Wallet,” and tapping that download button.

Step 2: Information

After opening the application, you’ll be given a little bit of information about what you can do with it. This includes storing, managing, and protecting your cryptocurrency. There’s also finding digital currency machines near you, trading crypto for cash, and controlling your money without an account. After this, you’ll have the option to start fresh or import from a backup.

Step 3: Currencies

Now you’ll select which digital currencies you want to use with this wallet. There’s a handful of both coins and tokens to choose from, including Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Ethereum (ETH), USD Coin (USDC) and more.

Step 4: Encryption

After picking your currencies, you’ll have the option to encrypt your wallet with a custom passphrase. This just functions as an extra layer of protection. If you choose to encrypt your wallet with a passphrase, you’ll be given text boxes to type it in.

Step 5: Recovery Phrase

Next, you’ll be prompted to view your recovery phrase, which will help prevent the loss of your funds. To view this, you’ll need to enter your encrypted passphrase (if you set it up). You will then be shown 12 words one by one.

Make sure to write these down and store them somewhere secure, so you’re sure you won’t lose them. You’ll need this 12-word recovery phrase if you ever change devices or need to import your wallet to a new platform.

After this, you’ll need to verify your recovery phrase by entering each word back into the app in the same order.

Step 6: Terms of Use

Lastly, you will be shown your Terms of Use. Upon confirmation, your wallet is set up and ready to use.

Step 7: Settings

Beyond the initial setup, there are more settings options to customize your experience. This includes changing the theme of the application, the language, notifications and a few other preferences.

Step 8: Buy and Sell Bitcoin

From here, The Coin Cloud Wallet provides you with all the tools necessary to use one of our Digital Currency Machines (DCMs) to trade crypto for cash, including maps of our locations and other tools. If you don’t need to do that right now, you can also simply use the wallet to store any digital currency you’ve purchased or send funds to other wallets.
